
Center Director
Responsibilities: To provide leadership, guidance, and supervision for infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten programs. It is the Center Director’s role to ensure center quality, provide excellent customer service, uphold health and safety standards, develop thematic curriculum, supervise and train staff, manage center finances, and make sales and marketing presentations. The Center Director must be flexible, patient, and organized to effectively manage all facets of the childcare center.
Requirements: B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field with 24 credits in Early Childhood Education. Preferably, candidates will have at least three of experience in a professional teaching position. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Lead Teacher
Responsibilities: To effectively provide classroom management, create and implement weekly lesson plans in accordance with designated theme, tend to children’s individual needs, create and maintain appealing classroom design, follow health and safety procedures, and complete daily reports to consistently communicate with parents.
Requirements: Minimum of 30 college credits with 6 in Early Childhood Education and 1 year of experience, 60 college credits with 6 in Early Childhood Education and no experience, or CDA.
B.A. in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Assistant Teacher
Responsibilities: To assist lead teacher in all classroom functions, implement lesson plans, tend to children’s needs, maintain room design, adhere to health and safety procedures.
Requirements: High School Diploma
Nurse
Responsibilities: Visit Safari Childcare locations to observe the child care techniques practiced by the staff, ensure the staff adheres to health and safety procedures and provide trainings.
Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalency. Meet federal and state requirements. Documentation of RN status or higher. Experience working with young children required.
Cook
Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks in large quantities; supply appropriate amount of food for each classroom; manage and make necessary substitutions for individual children’s dietary restrictions and/or allergies; complete orders for necessary food and cooking supplies; ensure safe food storage and disposal; collect and wash dishes and utensils; maintain clean and sanitary facilities; adhere to Food and Sanitation standards.
Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalency preferred. Food and Sanitation Certificate preferred.
Maintenance
Responsibilities: General maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds at various sites; tasks will include work in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting. Responsibility to move/arrange furniture and equipment, hook up and service appliances and emergency equipment, maintain building alarms; annotate and update work/maintenance logs; report mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action; assist in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors as needed; maintains clean, safe, and orderly work sites..
Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalency preferred. Applicable vocational training and certificates are preferred.
